Roger and I met several years ago through our respective companies at an Exhibition. Roger then worked for Oppenshaws (Unfortunately it went to the wall) and I worked for Agfa Gevaert. Roger and I immediately hit it of, I suppose it was our love of football - he being an ardent Brighton fan and me being a Southampton fan. We had many moments of banter when both Clubs were in the same division. Although Southampton forged ahead much to my advantage in the bragging rights, Roger remained a good friend and we were both looking forward to next Season with the Banter expected to reach new boundaries.
Well Dear Roger, I hope you will be watching from above and I will be remembering you with kind thoughts about you in those forthcoming South Coast Matches .
